Keep your camera handy to capture an image of the town’s most popular visitor, the Southern Right Whale. From a distance of 20 metres from the shore, these mammals will provide whale-watchers with spectacular displays of raw power as well as elegant water acrobatics.
In the morning, you will be picked up in an air-conditioned vehicle from your hotel in central Cape Town and taken on a tour of Hermanus. There will be commentary in English in the vehicle.
This circular tour takes you over a mountain pass to the seaside town of Hermanus. This town, nestled between mountains and the sea is not only very beautiful but offers some of the best shore-based whale watching opportunities in the world (August – November). Close sightings of the Southern Right whale are likely.
Your journey continues into the beautiful Hemel en Aarde Valley (Heaven and Earth) to the Bouchard Finlayson Wine Estate where we are treated to tasting some of their delicious wines. This wine estate is closed on Sundays, but a visit to the Stoney Point Penguin Colony will be included instead, to have a look at a unique colony of African penguins (time permitting) before returning to Cape Town in the afternoon.

Children under 2 years are not permitted on this tour.
Children 2 & 3yrs old must be fasten in a car.
Car seats are subject to availability at the time of booking.
Parents are welcome to bring their own car seat.
Wine tasting is included on Wednesday & Friday departures only.
On Sundays, a visit to stoney point penguins will included instead of wine tasting as the wine estate is closed on Sunday.
