Overview

Feast your eyes on the scenic drive along the southern Cebu coastline as you embark on an escapade to the stunning marine sanctuary of Sumilon Island for the day. To make the most of the tour, your day begins bright and early as you head towards the southern tip of Cebu Province to Sumilon Island where a marine sanctuary complete with nature parks, caves for exploring, kayaks, lagoons and hiking trails awaits your arrival.

En route, you will pass through the town of Carcar, famous for its shoe-making industry, and native delicacies such as “ampao” (sweetened rice crisps) and “chicharon” (crispy pork skin). Tuck into whatever feeds your fancy before heading to the next item on the itinerary – Argao, which is famous for its 400 year-old St. Michael Archangel Church! You then make your way to the town of Dalaguete, known as the vegetable capital of Cebu (50 points for guessing why), and finally arrive in Oslob. A brief scenic boat ride to Sumilon Island allows you to inhale the beauty of this 60-acre island, the Philippine’s first marine reserve and one of the best dive spots in the Visayan Region.

Gear up to snorkel, swim, or sunbathe on the pristine white sand beaches, trek to an old lighthouse with an 18th century historical watchtower, or go kayaking in a natural lagoon. The day is yours to enjoy as you please. After a fulfilling morning touring the sites of Sumilon, sit back and enjoy a picnic lunch on the island and the amenities of the beautiful Sumilon Island Beach Resort. You return to the city late in the afternoon.
