Itinerary

Depart from your hotel in a comfortable air conditioned vehicle as your expert English-speaking guide leads you to the first attraction of the day - the General Joseph Stilwell Museum, founded in memory of an American general who contributed a great deal to the Chinese people in military and political capacity. General Stilwell participated in a series of political and military affairs in the CBI Theatre of World War II and cemented a profound friendship with the Chinese people fighting side-by-side in the Anti-Fascist War in China.

Thereafter, head to a thousand year old building secured firmly between skyscrapers and apartment blocks – the Arhat Temple. Explore this place of worship which is also home to over a dozen monks. Admire the impressive entrance to the temple decorated with hundreds of terra-cotta sculptures. Walk around the temple with your expert heritage guide and learn all about the region’s culture.
