Civitavecchia is a town and commune in Rome situated in the central Italian region of Latium. This popular sea port on the Tyrrhenian Sea is located 80 kilometers of Rome, across the Mignone river. The main attraction of this city is the massive Forte Michelangelo, commissioned by Pope Julius II and completed by Michelangelo. Tourists can admire the four towers that encompass a diameter of approximately 21 meters.
