Overview

Set out on an excursion to the Fuengirola Zoo in Malaga, home to a vast array of wildlife from around the world. Walk through a world of Malaysian temples and African baobab trees to spot a diversity of birds such as hornbills and cassowaries to name a few. As you tread through the tropical forest, keep your binoculars handy to spot Sumatran tigers, Malayan tapirs, green pythons and hippos, all in their natural habitat. Since the zoo remains open in the summers until midnight, it is a unique opportunity to see the nocturnal animals come to life.

Itinerary

This is a ticket to Fuengirola Zoo. The tour starts at the Fuengirola Zoo situated in C/ Camila José Cela, 6-8, Fuengirola.

This is the only zoo in Europe which remains open until midnight in summers and only the second in the world after the Singapore zoo. Take a stroll in its tropical forest and you could come across Sumatran tigers, Malayan Tapir and pigmy hippos among others. If you planning to stay back in the park till night, then you can enjoy a special dinner with candles in the middle of the jungle and finish it with music and African dance. The park also has a play area covering more than 500 square metres, next to one of the restaurant areas.

The children’s park is a great chance for the kids to lose themselves in a labyrinth, dive into a ball pool, have a go on the swings or explore the Robinson Crusoe tree huts.

You can also see lemurs at the Lemur Island. The park has a variety of species such as Nile crocodiles, masked lapwing, rhinoceros hornbill, Tanimbar cockatoo, wild buffaloes and Indian python among others.

The tour concludes at the Fuengirola Zoo.
