Experience Genoa with us

Genoa is home to Italy’s largest seaport, a part industrial, part hilly city where stunning palaces exist alongside beautifully coloured buildings, tall and elegant in appearance. A visit here, and you are ready to embark on an exciting journey of discovery, much like its former son, the explorer Christopher Columbus. Immerse yourself in the old-world atmosphere as you walk down the narrow alleyways. Explore the seaport area where exciting new café and restaurant developments have popped up. You also have exciting palaces and museums to visit, and if you’re able, steep hills to climb. Time exploring Genoa is time well spent.

Our tips for Genoa

Hop on the bus: The best way to see the city is to hop on the bus! Take a Genoa hop-on hop-off bus tour, and that way, you’ll first work out where everything is, and secondly, be able to go back and hop off at the stop of your choice. It’s also a cheap and convenient way to get around town. Time to relax for a while: With all that touring, you will need a break. Make sure to visit a café under the frescoes in one of the palazzos. Also, while you’re at it, make sure to try a slice of authentic Genoese focaccia. Yum!

Good to know

If you have to choose a time to visit, then spring is best. That would be between mid-April and mid-June. The climate is favourable, and it will be less busy than the high season of summer.
