Overview

Set amidst the charming backdrop of tall tropical trees, lush vegetation and local fruit trees lies the unique Jong’s Crocodile Farm with over a thousand crocodiles! The farm provides a perfect sanctuary for the reptiles, saving the species from extinction. There are huge and deep concrete ponds and natural breeding grounds for the crocodiles to mate and multiply.

Sarawak’s legendary man-eating crocodiles are usually rare and elusive, but at Jong Crocodile Farm, some 30 minutes from Kuching, over 1,000 of these fearsome predators are bred in a 3 ½ acre complex. Visitors can see crocodiles being fed and learn all about their life cycle. Time will be allowed to visit the farm’s mini-zoo, where goats, turkeys, monitor lizards, deer and pythons are also reared.

You may even see the only known crocodile museum in Malaysia. See the skull of the notorious Bujang Senang, one of the largest crocodile ever caught in Sarawak. Get to see hundreds of other wildlife which includes rare species of birds that can only be found here. There’s more to the farm as visitors can have the enchanting experience of walking freely among the monkeys, leopard-cats, sunbears, bear cats, pheasants, civets, barking deers, sambar deers, turtles, fruit bats, monitor lizards, pythons and even southern cassowary.
