Enjoy a visit to the Windsor Castle, the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world, representing 900 years of British history. With more than 1,000 rooms, 13 acres of land, and more than 45,000 square metres of floor space, Windsor Castle is the official residences of the Queen.
Home to some of England's most famous monarchs, including Henry VIII and his father, Henry VII, a total of 39 English royals have officially lived at the palace. See The State Apartments, Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House, The Semi-State Rooms, St George’s Chapel and more. Explore the magnificent State Apartments, still used for State occasions and Royal receptions. The Royal Collection boasts paintings by Rembrandt, Rubens and the famous triple portrait of Charles I by Sir Anthony van Dyck. From October to March visitors can also enjoy George IV's private apartments (the Semi-State Rooms), among the most richly decorated interiors in the Castle.
Stroll through the castle grounds and visit the fourteenth-century St. George's Chapel, one of the most beautiful examples of medieval church architecture in England. Enjoy a self-guided tour of the spectacular castle and explore the location for the much-talked-about royal wedding that took place in St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle in May 2018.
