After a guided tour of Westminster Abbey, witness the colourful ceremony of the Changing of the Guard. Enjoy best views of the event from well-located seats, listen to commentary regarding the history and pageantry behind the ceremony, see the Queen’s Foot Guards, with their red tunics and bearskin hats, march to Buckingham Palace together with the military band or the Household Cavalry, complete with plumed silver helmets, riding magnificent horses. Westminster Abbey:
Make your own way to Westminster Abbey at the scheduled time. Westminster Abbey, formally titled the Collegiate Church of St Peter at Westminster, continues to play a significant role in British history. Westminster Abbey has been the coronation church since 1066 and is the final resting place of 17 monarchs. Westminster Abbey is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a famous gothic structure and a major London attraction. You will also see the Coronation Chair, commissioned in 1296 by Edward the Confessor, as well as his shrine at the church.
Changing of the Guards:
After a tour of Westminster Abbey, you will be escorted to Horse Guards Parade to see the Changing of the Guards. Enjoy commentary on the history and pageantry behind the ceremony, see the colourful event from well-placed seats and see the Queen’s Foot Guards march to Buckingham Palace together with the military band or the Household Cavalry. The tour ends outside the Buckingham Palace.

Westminster Abbey is subject to last minute, unforeseen closures.
Changing of the Guard will not operate in heavy rain and will be replaced with an extended walking tour.
