Here’s the plan, you’re going to go retro! Really. It’s time to step back to the early 1900s to a place so unique it’s like nowhere else in Japan. Welcome to the ‘Showa’ era. An exploration into the Osaka neighbourhood that screams nostalgia. Welcome to Shinsekai where a fun evening is guaranteed.
With your local guide on hand to show you the best in the area, this is a tour to see the ‘local Osaka’. You’ll be strolling through the area, enjoying the surroundings of shops, restaurants and gaming parlours. You’ll be shown the hidden gems and explained about the districts colourful past. Along the way, you’ll be able to try up to six different local dishes from five of these shops. Each item has a long history, so it’ll be nostalgia in every bite!
If you want to get a real sense of what life was like in the past and see where the locals like to hang out? Well, look no further. Retro has never been so good.

For Vegetarians: Some of the dishes contain dashi, a soup stock made from kelp and bonito, which is essential in Japanese cuisine. If you cannot consume dashi, we may not be able to fully accommodate your dietary needs. Please also inform us if you can eat eggs and dairy product. If dashi is not suitable for you, we recommend booking a private tour where we can offer some alternatives. However, completely avoiding fish stock may still be challenging

We recommend wearing comfortable shoes for walking. On rainy days, please bring an umbrella
