Overview

Visit the L'Hemisfèric, the centrepiece of the City of Arts and Sciences. The City of Arts and Sciences opened in Valencia in 1998 and is the city’s major tourist attraction. A selection of museums that celebrate our planet and mans’ contribution to it; there is something for everyone.

The L'Hemisferic is a must-see building in Valencia. It is a combination of a planetarium and IMAX theatre. Watch educational movies and shows accompanied by English commentaries, inside the building.

The complex is shaped like an eye to represent the design depicting its objective – the eye to wisdom.

Itinerary

Your L'Hemisferic voucher will be delivered to your hotel. You could take the bus, train or taxi to reach the venue. The venue is open from 10:00am and with your ticket you can skip the queue and go straight inside the building.

At L'Hemisferic, there are terrific laser shows throughout the day which you can watch. The projectors turn the dome into a brilliant star-filled sky.

Its astronomic projection system is controlled by computers in order to produce a complete representation of the sky and the planets on a surface that is 24 metres in diameter and is at a 30-degree angle.

The wide-angled projectors, laser projectors and superb audio-visual system make for an awe-inspiring and magical experience.

The complex also houses a cafeteria and a restaurant. You can also buy products related both to the themes covered in the films currently shown and to planets, galaxies and astronomy from the Hemisfèric shop.

Your ticket is valid for the entire day so you can choose to come and go as you please.
