Overview
Algarve is considered to be one of the best Big Game fishing places in the world due to the influence of the warm currents of the Mediterranean Sea. What makes it so ideal? Temperature breaks created where bodies of warm and cool water are pushed up against each other also act as a less tangible form of structure which attracts bait and big fish.
Itinerary
You will be picked up at the office at Marina de Vilamoura at 10:00am and taken for a Portuguese Big Game Fishing Tour.
Ride upon the Yacht Sant’Anna, a 13 meter fishing yacht, with a 14 fisher-person and 6 spectator capacity. You’ll travel approximately ten miles off the coast to catch these heavy weights. The Mediterranean Sea is home to many of the big game fish lusted after by fisher folk around the world. Blue Sharks, Hammerhead Sharks, Makos, Swordfish, Tuna, Bonitos and the famed Blue and White Marlin are abundant in these waters.
Experience battleship chairs as you reel in some prized delights. When you’re feeling thirsty you can take a drink at the bar (payable direct). You’ll have a light lunch of sandwiches, chips and fruit at midday and one free drink.
The tour ends at 3:00pm at the office at Marina de Vilamoura.
