Overview

Explore the Luberon region of Provence. This stunning region is known for its countryside and picturesque hilltop villages and has inspired countless writers and painters.

You will visit Roussillon, widely considered to be one of the most beautiful villages in France and Gordes, one of the most well-known hilltop villages in the region. Stroll around and you will see houses of white stone and labyrinth of narrow cobblestone streets.

During summer you will also get a chance to visit a local market to get a real taste for the Provence way of life.

You will also pay a visit to Fontaine de Vaucluse.

Itinerary

Make your way to the designated meeting point. Accompanied by an English-speaking guide, you will be taken on a tour of the villages of Luberon.

Drive through the Luberon regional park, known for its beautiful countryside and picturesque hilltop villages Menerbes, where British writer Peter Mayle wrote ‘A Year in Provence’. Further on, proceed to Roussillon, one of the most beautiful villages in France. Visit the village of Gordes, one of the most well-known hilltop villages in the region. Stroll around and you will see houses of white stone and labyrinth of narrow cobblestone streets. After exploring Gordes, you have free time for lunch (cost not included). 

Then drive to Fontaine de Vaucluse, walk up to the cave from which the River Sorgues emerges. You will be in awe of this.

Tour ends at the starting point.
