Tegenungan, a hidden gem barely half an hour from Bali, is a gorgeous waterfall almost unbelievably obscured amidst a curtain of greenery. Great for a reinvigorating swim, this mesmerising cascade of water is exactly what you need to pep up your soul. Continuing on this dose of nature, we will also visit the serene Tegalalang Rice Terrace waiting to leave you breathless with the exquisite verdure and acquaint you with a typical scene in Bali.
Our journey through the indigenous lifestyle in Ubud is kept alive with a visit to a local market where you can get up close and personal with the Balinese way of life. Filled with splendid handicrafts, native souvenirs, fresh produce and so on, the will regale you with an infectious frenzy. But hey that’s not all! A visit to Ubud is incomplete without visiting the iconic Goa Gajah or the elephant cave, a remarkable sanctuary from the past set in stone. Whether you want to indulge your interest in spirituality or just admire the opulent Hindu and Buddhist carvings on the cave walls, Goa Gajah is quite simply a must on anyone’s itinerary. The tour will also take you to the very popular Ubud Monkey Forest, home to more than 700 long-tailed macaques and three resplendent Hindu temples - Padangtegal Great Temple of Death, Beji Temple and Prajapati Temple. One of the best attractions in Bali, this spiritual compound-cum-natural sanctuary makes for a fascinating visit.
Our final halt for the day is an exemplary coffee plantation, giving you the chance to soak in the roasty aroma and a vibrant ambiance in a place producing the notoriously popular Luwak Coffee. Sit back and feast your eyes on the beautiful rice terraces as you unwind over a cuppa after a long but absolutely satiating day of sightseeing in Ubud.
