9am to 7pm. On Monday, it opens at 12pm.
Make your own way to Transylvanian Wonders, Strada Valea Portii 2, 507025, Bran. It is located within a 5-minute walk from the castle. Swap your smartphone voucher for a paper ticket.
This is the closest you can come to Dracula but there is nothing spooky about it. Bran Castle, the home of the fictional Count Dracula is the most visited attraction in Romania and this ticket lets you dodge past the long queues and explore its fortress, walls and bright red turrets.
The castle was built in 1377 and is known for Vlad the Impaler, the prince of Wallachia, who inspired Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Upgrade the ticket and get an audio guide, which will give you a lowdown on all things Dracula, and how Vlad the Impaler was incarcerated in the dungeons.
Bran Castle is a real Transylvanian treat, inextricably linked to the story of Count Dracula!
Voucher information: No need to print! You can show your voucher on your smartphone or other devices. (But if you’d rather print a copy – that’s fine too!)
Last admission is one hour before closing.
