Our tips for Cork

  • As the most convenient way to getting to Cork, consider flying into Dublin Airport and making a 3-hour drive to Cork city.
  • Always remember to drive on the left side of the road.
  • You can also hire a private chauffeur driven car, if you are not comfortable driving.
  • When in Cork, you absolutely must visit the Wild Atlantic Way, the famous tourist trail that starts in County Cork.
  • Called the Haven Coast of Cork, the region has been designated the southerly start of the Way.

Good to know

May through August is the best time to visit Cork, Ireland. If visiting in October, you can attend the Guiness Jazz Festival. July and August see the best weather and thus its peak tourist season there.
