We purchased 4 hop-on hop-off bus tours on our transatlantic cruise in Funchal, Cadiz, Malaga, and Palma de Mallorca. Overall I think it is an amazing deal for tourists to get around and see the most popular sites at each location receiving bits and pieces of information along the way. At some locations traditional music is played between the narration which I enjoyed. The buses are well-kept and the drivers are incredibly adept at maneuvering the small streets and traffic. Make sure to check out some of the extras like boats tours, flamenco show, walking tours that are included or can be added on for a small fee. On the downside the waits were incredibly long sometimes with some people complaining about being stuck for 1 1/2 hours at a stop without having adequate seating, toilets, shade, water, etc... available nearby. I understand it is hard to guestimate how many people will be on or off the bus at any given time but I do think there should be a maximum of tickets sold per day. When people are at locations and have to sit through numerous buses that stop, but don't let people on because they are too full, it is incredibly frustrating and ruins the good feelings of being on vacation.
