Your hotel in Funchal or Canico
Maderia's Levadas are former irrigation channels along which people now walk, enjoying the beauty of the countryside and panoramic views of the lush surrounding hills.
You will be picked up from your hotel in Funchal or Canicoa and accompanied by a guide, taken in bus to the point where the hiking tour begins.
This levada walk is through the emerald green paradise known as the Laurissilva forest that once covered Madeira, today this vegetation can only be seen in certain areas of the island.
Along this path one has spectacular views over the villages far bellow of S. Jorge and Santana. The source of this levada is a beautifull waterfall known as the Green Cauldron. It is here where we stop to relax and enjoy the enchanting beauty the island has to offer.
The tour ends at your hotel.
Please call the tour operator atleast 24 hours prior to start of the tour for reconfirming the departure details.
