From the traditional to the modern, you’ll soon get a sense of the areas brewing tradition. Yes, you are going to taste some, but before you do, make sure to grasp the complexities and history of the brewing process. There’s a museum visit for that. Along with the lunch provided, you’ll get your chance to taste the different varieties. And if you like one, well there’s always time for a little shop visit and some souvenirs. Beginning in the Fushimi district of Kyoto, your expert guide will take you through the streets of this stunning town to visit various traditional and modern Sake breweries. You’ll get a real sense of the 400-year-old tradition and perhaps learn some of the secrets that help make this area among the top Sake producers. You’ll also see the sake vendors and bars that serve this eloquent drink. Don’t worry you’ll soon be tasting some.
At the Gekkeikan Okura museum, you’ll learn the history and see the sake brewery. Then along with lunch and a browse through the shops you’ll be able to taste different varieties, that’s why you’re here right? There’s a reason why sake is so loved. You’re going to find out exactly why. Cheers!

This activity is adults (and older children) only. Little ones under the age of 20 years will have to sit this one out, we’re afraid.
Gekkeikan Sake Museum is recently undergoing a huge renovation. We will still be able to visit it for sake tasting as usual, but the rest of the museum will be closed to the public.
