Your hotel in Las Vegas
Rising more than 700 feet above raging waters, it is one of the greatest engineering works in history.
Marvel at the mind-boggling feat of construction that created these towering concrete walls.
Visit strategic viewpoints overlooking the dam, and see the blue waters of lovely Lake Mead. It is the largest man-made lake and reservoir in the US and a life-line to the settlements of the southwest.
Before returning to Las Vegas we stop at a local park where, herds of Big Horn Sheep often come down from the surrounding mountains to gather and graze on the sweet green grass.
Please note that Hoover Dam is currently unable to guarantee access to the interior and so you will be enjoying a wonderful extended exterior tour of the Dam and Bridge views.
