Overview

Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area is one of the great geological treasures of the American southwest.

Often selected as the backdrop for movies and commercials, the canyon features stunning rock formations that gesture towards a pure blue sky.

Take a luxury Jeep ride over sweeping landscapes that turn the concept of distance into an abstraction, stopping to admire sheer rock faces and fossilized sand dunes from your extra-large viewing windows.

This tour also includes an off-road adventure, as you depart the well-trodden scenic loop for a wild ride through vibrant desert wildflowers and in sight of ancient Native American pictographs.

Itinerary

You will be picked up from your Las Vegas hotel by air-conditioned vehicle and taken to your luxury Tour Trekkers (4-wheel drive vehicle).

Set out for the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, only minutes from the glittering Vegas strip. You will be accompanied by a knowledgeable English-speaking guide.

The brown and rust-colored rock formations, diverse vegetation, and desolate desert sweeps of Red Rock Canyon have long been an inspiration to artists, filmmakers, and those simply in search of reflection.

Along your scenic 13 mile drive you’ll be treated to a wide array of geological marvels. View the massive Wilson Cliffs, which are part of the 65-million-year-old Keystone Thrust, a fault area where Cambrian limestone peaks were foisted on Jurassic sandstones. You’ll also take in the fossilized sand dunes of the brilliantly-colored Calico Hills.

A brief stop at the visitor center includes fascinating exhibits, a desert tortoise habitat, and a gift shop.

A bonus to this tour is an off-road adventure up Rocky Gap road. Snap pictures of beautiful desert wildflowers, ancient Native American pictographs, and bristling cactuses while your custom-built Jeep glides over the difficult terrain with the greatest of ease.

You will be dropped back at your Las Vegas hotel at tour’s end.
