Make your way to Jetty 1 Male
Same as the starting point.
Explore the full spectrum of Malé’s never ending charms with this small group full day adventure that takes you on a tour of a local island, snorkelling at two spectacular locations, a dose of relaxation at an isolated sandbank as well as a delightful sunset cruise with a chance to spot dolphins.
Sandbank
Commencing our day at a pristine sandbank, set amidst a breathtaking lagoon approximately 40 minutes from the capital. It truly is one of the best places to soak up the Maldives’ spotless coastal beauty while relaxing on the sands under the shade of a sun umbrella, swimming in the warm waters or snorkelling around the house reef.
Snorkelling
Moving on, we will get briefed on safe and responsible snorkelling from certified guides before diving right into our underwater excursion. Put on all your gear - fins, mask, and snorkel - and jump straight into the warm, azure waters of the Indian Ocean. Stay alert to spot a ton of marine life, including sea turtles, reef sharks, and rays the Maldives are home to, while we know your little ones will be on the lookout for Nemo (aka clown fish).
Island Visit
Our delightful island hopping journey awaits us next, taking us to the pretty Huraa where you can experience the simple life led by the villagers and watch how the local boats are made as well as the process of preparing Maldivian dry fish. Our tour will also take you on a trail to discover the regional mangrove swamps and freshwater lakes while learning more about this fragile ecosystem.
Breaking for lunch at a local restaurant, you will also get a taste of the country’s delightful coastal cuisine and even a chance to relax on traditional jolie seats.
Snorkelling and Sunset Cruise:
In between island visits we offer further snorkeling opportunities to discover the beauty of this underwater paradise.
We will finally embark on a scenic cruise, feasting our eyes on a divine sunset amidst the sea as we watch the sky turning into a blaze of colour. We will head along the east of Hulhumale to a channel where there is a high probability of encountering dolphins for a fun encounter with these adorable creatures.
*Please understand that we never intend to disturb marine creatures in their natural habitat, which is why we never guarantee sightings. But rest assured that we will take you to locations with a high chance of witnessing these intelligent creatures playing and jumping around in the water.
