Overview
Discover the old and new of Medellin in a tour that takes you through its most modern neighbourhoods such as El Poblado and la Alpujarra, and back in time to the Pueblito Paisa. Ride on the metrocable above the city skies and end the tour with a visit to the largest collection of Fernando Botero’s masterpieces.
During the tour you’ll see the charming side to the city of eternal spring. With its mild climate and incredible valley location, Medellin is full of opportunities. We take you to El Poblado, where you can witness the city’s modern architecture and model urban planning that offers the best of shopping, restaurants, business centres and exclusive fashion boutiques in Medellin along the ‘golden mile’. For a complete contrast we go to Pueblito Paisa, a replica of a small Antioquia town located atop the Nutibarra hill. Admire its traditional architecture and impressive views over the city for a completely different feel to Medellin. We head back into modern times, to the EPM Intelligent Building, a landmark and symbol modern Medellin, and to the Alpujarra Administration Centre, where the provincial and city governments are housed. Wander passed artwork by well-known local artists in the square that separates the two buildings before we make our way to the largest art collection of Medellin born artist, Fernando Botero. To get there, we take a ride on one of the three lines that take you high over the city and over the hills where we end the tour with a visit to the Antioquia Museum, so that you can appreciate the largest collection of Botero’s work, that’s not exhibited in public squares around the city.
