Visit the National Museum of Anthropology and Chapultepec Castle on a lively half-day tour. Admire powerful 20th-century murals depicting Mexican history and take in sweeping views of Mexico City.
The tour starts at the entrance of Bosque de Chapultepec, one of the largest and most visited urban parks in America. The park houses Chapultepec Castle, on top of a hill at 7,628 feet (2,325 m) above sea level. Explore the castle, which once served as the Imperial Palace and Presidential Residence until 1940.
Walk through the many halls and rooms of the estate, admiring the sculptures and paintings of historical figures. See murals created by 20th-century Mexican artists, including David Alfaro Siqueiros, depicting the fall of the Empire, the Revolution, and Mexican Independence. Spend time in the picturesque castle gardens and take in stunning views of the city from a great vantage point.
Visit the National Museum of Anthropology, one of the most important museums in Latin America, and immerse yourself in the Mayan, Mexica, and Toltec history and culture. Browse the artifacts, including the Piedra del Sol and a replica of a Mayan tomb, and discover Mexico’s pre-Columbian heritage.
