The Louvre Museum is one of the most visited, oldest, largest and famous art galleries and museums in the world. Home to masterpieces like Leonardo Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa and the ancient Greek sculpture Venus de Milo, it is an art and culture lover’s delight. The Louvre has an awe-inspiring transparent pyramid in its courtyard and is a great place to learn about Europe’s rich history and culture. Take a guided tour of this massive art haven and marvel at its most popular and important artworks. The tours are conducted in English and Spanish.
Before going into the Louvre, spend some time in the Tuileries garden. Its alleys and lawns stretch along the Seine River from the Louvre museum to the Place de la Concorde.
Once you are inside the Louvre Museum, your guide will show you some of the museum’s artworks. Step back into antiquity and view treasures like the Seated Scribe or the Venus de Milo. Marvel at the explosion of creativity in the Renaissance with Michelangelo’s Slaves and of course Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa. See 19th French masterpieces like Ingres’ La Grande Odalisque and Géricault’s The Raft of the Medusa.
The guided tour ends in the museum after which you are free to stay in the museum and browse the works at your leisure.
