Glide effortlessly through the ancient city of Prague on a thoroughly modern mode of transport – a Segway. This two wheeled self-balanced vehicle boasts to be the greenest form of transportation and the most fun. In just 3 hours on this fun machine you can cover a distance it would take you all day to walk. The 30 minute orientation insures that even the most nervous looks cool on this easy to use state-of-the-art mode of transport.
Bowl along tree-lined paths in the city parks near the Vlatava River. View the lovely Summer Palace and the huge Castle and Cathedral complex. Travel through the Lesser Town, one of the most unspoilt parts of the city, before crossing the river for great views of Charles Bridge with all its statuary. Visit Old Town Square, a vast space full of beautiful buildings and home to the famous Astronomical Clock.
As you go along, your guide will entertain you with stories and anecdotes about all the things you can see.
The Segway is a self-balancing personal vehicle related to a scooter, designed to operate in any pedestrian environment. The machine is sensitive to the motions of the rider – leaning forward makes the device go forward, leaning back will make it reverse. It’s fun to ride and a great way to get around town.
Before you set off on the tour you will have some time to practice on the Segway. When you are comfortable with the machine, you will set off with your guide on the sightseeing tour. All the attractions will be viewed from the outside only. There will be plenty of photo-stops and your guide will be able to tell you about the points of interest you see.
Shortly after leaving the starting point you will enter Stromovka Park and glide along pleasant tree-lined paths. You then head south towards the river and travel through another park close to the Vlatava River until you reach Queen Ann’s Summer Palace, a beautiful 16th century building set in Italian-style gardens.
Your route takes you south past the huge Prague Castle complex that includes the Royal Palace and the Cathedral. Skirting round the back of the Castle you come to Lesser Town Square and St Nicholas Cathedral, one of Central Europe’s finest Baroque buildings.
You cross the Vlatava River by Manes Bridge which is just north of the celebrated Charles Bridge. Charles Bridge is adorned with a continuous alley of 30 statues and statuaries, most of them baroque and erected around 1700. As one of Prague’s most famous landmarks, Charles Bridge is a lively place in the day time when it is full of craft stalls, street artists, buskers and pedestrians.
After crossing the river, you will head for Old Town Square, a lovely open space featuring a range of architectural styles. The Square is dominated by the Church of Our Lady before Týn with its two Gothic towers. Old Town Square is also the location of the celebrated Astronomical Clock.
Leaving Old Town Square and traveling east you reach the Gothic Powder Tower, which was built in 1475 at the site of one of Prague's 13 original city gates. Your route then turns sharply north and you cross the river again by the Stefanik Bridge before returning to the starting point.
Your tour ends back at the starting point.

This was great - the service we got from the Segway company was brilliant.
Just one small comment - we also did a Segway tour through Isango in Rome. This had head sets so we could hear the guide easily while on the move. We did stop at the sites so our guide could give us information, but we liked the continuous interaction the head sets gave.
