Your hotel in Kota Kinabalu.
Gaya is largest and most beautiful island in the Park – known for its lowland rain forest and mangrove swamp. Explore the island on foot in search of macaque monkeys, monitor lizards, swallows, and pied hornbills.
Journey across to Sapi Island (wade through the shallow waters at low tide!) and enjoy plenty of opportunities for swimming, snorkeling in the cool waters of the South China Sea, or just walking on the sandy beaches, soaking up the sun.
Go back feeling rejuvenated and refreshed, with a bagful of memories and an enviable tan!
You can take this tour as part of a larger group or opt for a private tour for a more personal experience.
The Snorkeling at Gaya and Sapi Islands Tour from Kota Kinabalu is available in two options – coach and private. The private option offers you greater flexibility and you can spend as much or as little time at any of the places that you visit. Unlike coach tours, which have tight schedules, the private option allows you to do the tour at your own pace.
At the start of the tour you will be picked up from your hotel in Kota Kinabalu in an air-conditioned coach/private vehicle and taken to the jetty to catch a motor boat to Gaya Island. Gaya is the largest island in the Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park in Sabah. A guide will go with you on this excursion.
Gaya is a beautiful island fringed with forest and surrounded by crystal clear waters and stunning coral gardens. Upon arrival, you can take a stroll with your guide through the lowland dipterocarp forests and unspoilt tropical rainforest.
On the way you will learn about tropical hardwood trees, discover fascinating facts about medicinal and other useful plants, and hear about the various animals that inhabit the forests. You will also have a chance to trek through the coastal mangrove swamps and find out about the ecology of this fascinating and important habitat.
Afterwards, you will be transferred by boat to the opposite island, Sapi Island (at low tide you can wade across). Enjoy a barbecue lunch then the rest of the afternoon is free for you to swim or snorkel off the beach and discover coral and marine life in the enticing waters of the South China Sea.
Return to the jetty by a motor boat. At the end of the tour, you will be dropped off at your hotel in Kota Kinabalu.
Voucher Information: Sorry, but we will need you to print a paper version of your booking voucher (we're working on changing this). At this time no refund can be given for customers without a printed copy of their voucher.
