Overview

Discover a day immersed in the Roman legacy of Provence. Your knowledgeable local guide welcomes you for a full-day journey through some of southern France’s most iconic ancient landmarks. You’ll travel by comfortable minivan, stopping first in Nîmes, often called the Roman jewel of Provence to explore the majestic amphitheatre and the perfectly preserved temple Maison Carrée (audio guide included).

Next, you’ll visit the magnificent Pont du Gard, a soaring 1st-century aqueduct and UNESCO World Heritage site, once used to carry spring water to Nîmes. The final highlight is the ancient theatre in Orange - a dramatic remnant of Roman times, capped off with a photo stop at its nearby triumphal arch. Head back to Avignon by evening.
