Overview

Take a walk on the wild side when you encounter some of Africa’s most spectacular animals! Set in the Southern Karoo Highlands against a backdrop of dramatic mountains, the Aquila Private Game Reserve is just two short hours from Cape Town by road.

On a fascinating game drive, you’ll see, lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos and many more magnificent creatures!

You’ll also see the many migratory birds that stop off at Aquila’s wetland on their travels.

Enjoy a fabulous buffet lunch.

Itinerary

Your exhilarating Full Day Aquila Wildlife Safari Tour adventure begins mid-morning when you are met at your hotel by your English speaking driver and continue up the N1 Highway, through the spectacular Hex River Valley and arrive at the Aquila Private Game Reserve. The bio-diverse habitat of the reserve ensures plenty of interest for the avid game viewer and birder.

On arrival enjoy a welcome drink in the reception area, followed by Lunch. After lunch, you’ll set off on a 2 to 3 hours safari in an open safari vehicle. 

Led by an experienced English speaking Game Ranger, you’ll learn fascinating facts about your surroundings including Giraffe, Blesbok, Black and Blue Wildebeest, Zebra, Springbok, Gemsbok Klipspringers, Duiker, Grey buck, Steenbok, Ostriches, Baboons Caracal, Foxes, Jackal, Leopard and 172 species of birds, including the Black Eagle are found on the reserve.

After enjoying some time at Aquila, you’ll be driven back to your hotel in Cape Town and dropped at the point where you were picked up.
