Overview

Meet with our guide at 08:00am at the lobby of your hotel to visit the Bagamoyo Town. On this tour, you will discover the history of the town's slave-trade past. See the ruins and the remains of the city history and culture. Bagamoyo is a town founded at the end of 18th century, though it is an extension of a much older (8th century) settlement, Kaole. It was the capital of German East Africa and was one of the most important trading ports along the African coast along the west of the Indian Ocean.

The places that will be covered on this tour are the following: Mji mkongwe, Old fort, German cemetery, hanging place, Slave market, German old Boma, Arab tree house. At 17:00hrs, we will move back to your hotel in Dar Es Salaam.
