Meet at Outside the Church Bar on Mary Street
Same as the start point
Explore one of the oldest parts of Dublin steeped in thousands of years of dark history, on the Northside ghost walk through the city.
Visit the site of Saint Mary’s Abbey; one of the most powerful monastic settlements in Ireland in medieval times. Learn about the infamous and sadistic ‘Hanging Judge’ who presided over the trial of Robert Emmet. Hated in life, in death he continues to make his sinister presence felt.
Head down Hendrick Street, once the site of two of the most haunted houses in Dublin. Visit a haunted hospital where ghostly nurses have been seen. Could they be the reason for the unexplainable supernatural occurrences in adjacent buildings?
Visit Croppie’s Acre, a mass grave – the final resting place of hundreds of rebels executed after the 1798 rebellion. Learn about the mummies of Saint Michan’s Church, surely the most macabre tourist attraction in Ireland.
See the site of a 21st-century apparition of the Virgin Mary and pass through a deconsecrated graveyard where the gravestones may have moved but the bodies haven’t.
Voucher information: No need to print! You can show your voucher on your smartphone or other devices. (But if you’d rather print a copy – that’s fine too!)
This activity is adults (and older children) only. Little ones under the age of 10 years will have to sit this one out, we’re afraid.
