Otherwise, make your way to Federation Square, at Swanston St. & Flinders St., Melbourne VIC 3000.
You’ll be dropped off at a CBD location in Melbourne at the end of the tour.
Explore the stunning coastline in a relaxed manner on this 2 days Great Ocean Road tour. Dotted with coastal towns, rainforests, 12 Apostles and shipwreck history, this tour is a must-do on your Melbourne Vacay!
Travel via the West Gate Bridge, through the vast volcanic plains on route to Geelong where you can spend time at the beautifully transformed waterfront. Discover the Great Ocean Road at Torquay, with multiple photo stops along the coast including Bells Beach and our scenic morning tea location.
Observe Eastern Grey Kangaroos in the wild and learn more about Aussi wildlife. Take in the very scenic, cliff-hugging section of the Great Ocean Road. As you travel along the Great Ocean Road, see sites such as the ‘Memorial Arch’. There will be a short lunch break in Lorne, a picturesque seaside resort.
Continue along the road stopping at many scenic spots including Kennett River where you can spot koalas and birds. Enjoy a 1 km guided walk at the Great Otway National Park, a cool temperate rainforest and see the world’s tallest flowering plants, prehistoric trees and more.
We visit Apollo Bay before checking in to ‘Beacon Point Ocean View Villas’. Your private self-contained villa is set high on a hill overlooking the Southern Ocean. Relax for a while before having dinner at the famous Chris's at Beacon Point.
Enjoy breakfast at a local café with a vast breakfast menu. Travel through the Otway Ranges to the ‘Shipwreck Coast’. Stop at Castle Cove overlooking the Aire River Valley and learn about the region’s rich aboriginal heritage from your guide.
See the 12 Apostles in the morning before it gets crowded. This is a bonus as the stacks are silhouettes in the afternoon and overcrowded. Explore the boardwalks or brave a helicopter flight along the coastline (own expense).
Head to ‘Loch Ard Gorge’, the site of the most famous 19th century Australian shipwreck. Hear all about the tragic wreck and hold some original artefacts, photos and documents from the ‘Loch Ard’ contained in our treasure chests.
Stop for lunch at Port Campbell, a small fishing village with some wonderful cafes and restaurants for food and views. After lunch we travel to a lesser known but highly impressive area of the Great Ocean Road west of Port Campbell. This section takes in London Bridge, Bay of Islands, Bay of Martyrs, and Boat Bay. You will be returning to Melbourne after that.
