Featuring 35-meter-tall vertical gardens, explore one-of-a-kind biodiversity at Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay. Singapore’s iconic attraction boasts the largest glass greenhouse on the planet: The Flower Dome. Make sure you don’t miss out on seeing the Supertree Grove!
The Supertrees are specially designed vertical gardens displaying flowering creepers, ferns, and epiphytes. As Singapore’s top attraction, over 8 million visitors visit the gardens each year. The planet Xandar in the film Guardians of the Galaxy was inspired by this stunning place.
Come nightfall, the place comes alive with a solar-powered light show that electrifies the entire atmosphere. Designed by Grant Associates and Wilkinson Eyre Architect, it cost around S$1 billion and over 5 years to complete this marvel.
The best time to visit is between February and April because that is the start of the dry season. And, while you might think that the months of May through August might serve as a good time to visit, the city chokes during these months due to the agricultural fires lit by Singapore’s neighbors.
If you’re coming by train, you can take the Circle Line, Downtown Line, or East-West Line. Those arriving by the Circle Line or Downtown Line can hop off the train at the Bayfront MRT Station and take Exit B. Visitors arriving by the East-West Line should exit the train at Tanjong Pagar MRT Station and use Exit C. Head towards Bus Stop No. 03223 at International Plaza on Anson Road.
