Our tips for Windsor

  • Late Arrival.Although Windsor Castle opens at 10:00 a.m., the best time to visit is between 11:00 to 11:30 a.m. because the bulk of tourist busses arrive just before the castle opens its doors. It’s one of the best things to do in Windsor to avoid delays.
  • Two Birds...One Stone.The Parish of Eton sits across the Thames from Windsor and you can enjoy a pleasant walk on the pedestrian-only Windsor Bridge to get there.Why not visit the home of the famous Eton College during your Windsor vacation?
  • Window-shopping.Thanks to increased tourism, Windsor now represents also a great place to shop and grab a bite.The pedestrian-only shopping streets are sprinkled with cafés, making for some great people-watching during your Windsor tour.
