HOP-ON HOP-OFF BUS TOUR 

The hop-on hop-off bus ticket allows you 48 hours of unlimited travel on three bus routes – Regal Tour, The Edinburgh Tour and City Sightseeing Tour, covering the length and breadth of the city. The routes are interchangeable, giving you even more flexibility to travel around the city with minimal hassles. You can additionally listen in on immersive commentary across all the routes, either through headphones or from a live guide.

Tickets are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase, with their 24 or 48 hour validity activated when your confirmation is scanned by a member of staff.

Edinburgh is a functioning city and weather, traffic and events may occasionally cause disruption. Times and stops are subject to change.

The operator will reserve your timed entry ticket to Edinburgh Castle when you exchange your voucher. The other two attractions can be visited at any time within the 48 hours – this can stretch over 3 days if started midday day 1 – valid until midday day 3.

Edinburgh Castle is open seven days a week.

Palace of Holyroodhouse is closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays each week from October – June inclusive. There will also be Royal closures if The King is visiting (no alternative offered to Royal Edinburgh Ticket holders). Head in with your Royal Edinburgh Ticket – no prebooking required. Palace of Holyroodhouse is open 7 days July-September.

The Royal Yacht Britannia is open 7 days. Head in with your Royal Edinburgh Ticket – no prebooking required.

The Queen’s Gallery is closed until 2024 to allow essential maintenance work to take place

Due to works at Ocean Terminal – home of Britannia, The Royal Yacht will be closed 11-23 March ( also we now know 25-28 June)

Due to emergency gas works , the Lawnmarket stop for Edinburgh Castle is closed until further notice.
