Your jeep will take you to places other vehicles are not allowed to go. You will see the rugged volcanic landscape of the island, delightful mountain villages, inhabited caves, lush valleys full of almond trees, interesting plants and stunning views.
This top-selling tour is one of the most exciting ways to explore the spectacular heart of Gran Canaria.
Drive up to Soria Reservoir through stunning volcanic landscapes offering impressive views. Upon arrival, enjoy a traditional breakfast (direct payable) of local specialities, papaya juice and home-made traditional bread.
Be prepared to get dusty and dirty as you go off road and come across Canarian flora, rock formations, beautiful lakes and cave dwellings. You will pass by valleys full of banana, pineapples and sugar cane plantations.
During the course of the tour, you will stop at the fishing village of Arguineguin, the hilly Cercada de Espino, the Las Niñas reservoir and the arid Ayacata.
Continue along the pine forests heading to San Bartolome de Tirajana where you will stop for lunch at a traditional restaurant. Savour a delectable menu that includes chicken prepared in a lava oven, a selection of salads and potatoes with sangria and water.
After lunch, you will head to the picturesque town of Fataga where you will see white coloured houses made of natural stones.
At the end of your splendid 4WD jeep experience, you will return to the original departure point.
Please call the activity operator at least 24 hours prior to start of the tour for to confirm all details. Tell the tour operator where you are staying and they can advise which pick-up point would be the best for you.

Fun trip, but make the advance communication easier?
Nice to see the non tourist areas.
Friendly drivers.
Nice lunch
With this safari tour you just have the experience to see some hidden sides of the island and to get access to places, where you just can't go by car or bus. We saw some extraordinary landscapes!
The jeep drivers are professional, you just feel safe in their hands.
On the other hand, the tour has a very "mass-touristic" touch: everything is filmed by a cameraman, lot of unnecessary show and jokes and less deep information about geology, history etc. The worst thing was the stop at a camel park, where you could opt for a camel ride. Come on guy, what has the camel do with Gran Canaria?! Why didn't we stop instead at an archaeological site? It would have been more educative and more interesting for me... Anyway, those who doesn't want to ride the camel, could have a coffee or drinks in the meanwhile.
But what really annoyed me, it was the exaggerate "marketing" to buy an overpriced DVD with the journey, almost so expensive as the whole tour! It quite ruined the end of the tour...
Another weak point: in the morning we had to wait for more than 1.5 hours to start the tour, which isn't last for 8-9 hours as advertised but maybe 7.
As overall experience it was good to see the geography and the flora of the island, but you have to have strong nerves to overcome the annoying touristic stuff.
