Overview

See the finest remains of the Spanish Muslim kingdom during your visit to the Alhambra Palace and the Generalife. Learn about this UNESCO World Heritage Site and marvel at the impeccable Moorish architecture with entrance to the Alcazaba, Generalife, Palace of Charles V, Partal, and Alhambra Museum.

Immerse yourself in Granada's fascinating history as you explore the vast 600-year-old complex and its fusion of Islamic art and Iberian culture. Admire the opulent palaces, hilltop military fortresses with spellbinding mountain views, and the heavenly summer gardens of Generalife.

Take a stroll in the fairy tale gardens, a perfect example of medieval Persian garden, and admire its tranquil pools adorned by colorful flowerbeds, tinkling fountains and promenade.

Admire the unique water-features sparkle in the sunlight, and the vibrant exotic flora splashing color around the gardens. The surrounding architecture is so ornate that there's barely a square inch of the buildings not emblazoned with intricate art.

Areas you can access:

  • The Alcazaba: This is the oldest part of the Alhambra complex. It was formerly used exclusively for military purposes.
  • Nasrid Palaces: This is where many rooms are located, including the Palaces of Mexuar, Comares and the Patio de los Leones, the latter considered to be the greatest exponent of Nasrid art.
  • The Generalife Gardens: A summer palace located to the east of the Alhambra and surrounded by extensive gardens brimming with the most varied vegetation, framed by an unmistakably Islamic landscape architecture.
  • Other areas: Palace of Charles V, Partal, and Alhambra Museum
