UH-OH! AT THE MOMENT, THERE ARE NO TOURS AVAILABLE FOR PETRONAS TWIN TOWERS
High demand, seasonal availability and unexpected closures can be the reason. We're working on getting it up and running. Meanwhile, you can search for other activities on our website. We don’t want you to leave disappointed!
You’ll notice there is a lot of glass! Actually around 590,000 square feet of laminated glass in fact. They help to reduce the harmful UV rays and heat. It takes 2 months to clean them all. The sky bridge is bigger than you think. It’s 192ft long and weighs 750 tons. It also is designed to slide in and out of both towers as a safety device for people to get across in case of an emergency in one of the towers. The French climber Alain Robert has scaled the towers on his third attempt. He stood at the mast; arms open wide! Often known as the Petronas Twin Towers, these structures are not precisely alike. Because of the uneven terrain, Tower 1 stands slightly taller than Tower 2, with a height difference of approximately 10 meters. Upon their completion in 1998, the Petronas Twin Towers claimed the status of the world's tallest buildings until 2004, when Taipei 101 surpassed them. Given the frequent lightning storms in the region, the towers are outfitted with a lightning protection system, utilizing the spires atop each tower to disperse lightning strikes.
For a special experience, head up the towers during the late evening. You’ll get to witness the light and fountain show from above. That starts at 7 pm and goes on until 9 pm.
Since you’re in a big city, so expect heavy traffic during the peak times of the day. If you’re not heading on a bus tour, there is an extensive public transport system that includes KL monorail and taxis. Buses and light commuter trains and taxis help you get about.
The Sky Bridge, connecting the two towers at the 41st and 42nd floors, is accessible to visitors and offers panoramic views of the city.
Certainly, visitors have the option of evening time slots. The view of the illuminated towers at night can be especially captivating.
