Touted as the most influential museum in the world, a trip to MoMA will help discover some of the world's most challenging, curious art here. It houses over 150,000 works of the most prominent artists like Frida Kahlo, Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso, and more. The art pieces in the museum also include art prints, movie posters, illustrated books, and drawings.
It was founded in 1929 by prominent art collectors Abby Aldrich Rockefeller, Lillie P. Bliss and Mary Quinn Sullivan. It started out as a rented art gallery and was shifted to bigger locations to accommodate larger crowds. It also includes a world-class research facility that has an extensive collection of art materials than any other art museum.
