Explore Genoa, the birthplace of Christopher Columbus and the largest medieval town in Europe. Your day starts at the ancient harbor, renovated in 1992 by the architect Renzo Piano. Make your way through the labyrinth of narrow alleyways of the old town with your professional guide in tow and discover the many gems of this city on a comprehensive walking tour.

Enjoy lunch (at your own expense) before hopping on your air-conditioned coach for a scenic ride following the Tigullio Gulf, called the Dolphins Gulf due to the frequently-spotted large school of dolphins, to reach the charming and vibrant village of Santa Margherita Ligure.

Here, enjoy a scenic boat ride to the charming fishing village of Portofino, a crescent-shaped seaside village whose beauty has enamored writers and poets such as Guy de Maupassant. The tour ends with a boat ride back to Genoa!
