Overview

Wander the ancient caves of Toirano with a guide and enter a rugged otherworldly realm. Toirano Caves are home the largest cave bear graveyard in Europe but don't fear an unexpected encounter, the last cave bears in Europe died out about 24,000 years ago.

These caves also serve a practical modern-day function. There are over 12,000 bottles of Durin Spumante wine stored down here for fermentation, as the constant temperature of 16°, 90% humidity, and darkness make for the perfect wine cellar!
