Ponza Island Trip with Boat Excursion and Snorkeling Upgrade

Escape the hustle and bustle of Rome and rejuvenate your senses with breathtaking views, sparkling waters, and the laidback vibe of Ponza, a tiny Mediterranean island paradise just a few hours from the city.

Enjoy the convenience of air-conditioned transfers to Rome's nearest port, just an hour ride away in a seaside town called Anzio.

Once at Ponza, enjoy breakfast (at own expense) or pick up any last-minute items or snacks to bring on the next leg of our journey. Discover the abundant charms of the island on a scenic boat ride. Our expert captain, a local Ponzan, will tailor the route to ensure that you make the most of the experience.

Experience the beauty of the hidden coves, spectacular rock formations and a plethora of blue grottoes on a 5-hour boat ride! Immerse yourself in the fascinating history if the island translated to English by your tour leader as the captain speaks Italian. Sights might include the Arco Naturale (Natural Arch), Lucia Rosa's cove & beach, the Guard's Light House (one of the oldest and most important in Italy) and Moon Rock Beach - the spectacular and famous "Chiaia di Luna". There will be 4-5 stops of about 30 minutes each to swim and snorkel at the best spots.

Tuck into a simple and savory pasta lunch which will be served picnic-style on deck, with water, wine and even a traditional Italian espresso. You could also pick up a sandwich or snack in the morning at Ponza's port.

After the boat excursion, you have 1-hour to explore Ponza's busy, colorful port with its many shops and cafes. It's a great time to grab a gelato or even a flute of prosecco to celebrate a day well spent.

Enjoy a ferry ride back to the port of Anzio where our transfer back to Rome will be waiting for us. We will reach the Piramide metro stop around 8:30 pm.
